Our story is simple and short.. we have a passion for wood and making beautiful, practical items from it. The surname, Wood originated as a topographic name used to describe a person who lived in, or worked in a wood or forest. Derived from the Middle English wode, from the Old English wudu meaning "wood" from as early as 1242. You could say, it's my namesake, it's in my blood!
Having achieved my Diploma in woodturning in 2023, i thought I would now try to elevate my passion for woodturning from hobbyist & just for fun to something a little more special and in doing so, to realise a dream!
Using traditional techniques and hand tools to turn utilitarian and decorative pieces from seasoned hardwoods both native such as Oak, Ash, Elm and Yew, as well as more exotic timbers such as Sepe, Iroko which have beautifully rich chocolatey grain with seams of glimmering gold through the grain. There is a secret ingredient in all my pieces and that is patience! To get the best finish takes time. Our attention to detail and commitment to quality ensure that each piece is unique and of the highest standard.
We offer a wide range of turnery, including bowls, plates, cups, salt & pepper mills and vases. Our products are both functional and beautiful, and are perfect for everyday use or special occasions.

Dressed to impress - lighter toned woods such as Ash, Birch, Lime and Sycamore are dressed to the 9's using colour and/ or high gloss wood finishes to make an otherwise inconspicuous grain 'pop' with colour & interest!
Finished in danish oils and microcrystalline wax to provide a truly glamorous glow!
